Assessment of client’s requirements and agreeing preliminary solutions Undertaking formal feasibility study, if required and providing advice on the most appropriate procurement method In working with an existing building, undertaking a full measured survey and preparation of as existing plans In the case of a new building, undertaking a digital measured survey of the site and collation of site plans Preparing Initial scheme drawings for client consideration Full scheme drawings Obtaining planning, Building Regulation and other consents Preparation of specifications or bills of quantity dependant upon project complexity and size Obtaining competitive tenders Analysis of tenders received and preparation of tender report Overseeing and co-ordinating commencement on site Contract Administration, to include building contract management, preparation of contract documents, supervision of the contractor, documentation throughout the contract and reporting and monitoring of the programme of work, controlling quality and costs Identification of poor working practices, defects and damages and agreeing rectification works, if appropriate Agreement of final account Production of as built record drawings |
